Cookie Policy

Last updated: 11 July 2026

The short version

Nuxiv uses only what it needs to work. We do not run advertising cookies, and we do not sell your browsing data. Because we currently set no non-essential cookies, we do not show a cookie banner — under PECR, strictly necessary cookies don’t require consent.

What we set today

NameTypePurposeDuration
nuxiv-theme Local storage — essential Remembers whether you chose day or night mode, so the site doesn’t flash the wrong theme on load. Until you clear it
sb-*-auth-token Cookie / local storage — essential Keeps you signed in. Set by Supabase, our authentication provider. Session, refreshed while active
__stripe_mid, __stripe_sid Cookie — essential Set by Stripe on the checkout page to process your payment and detect fraud. Required for payment to work. 1 year / 30 minutes

Why these don’t need consent

Under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR), cookies that are strictly necessary to deliver a service the user has explicitly requested — signing in, taking a payment, remembering a display preference they just set — are exempt from the consent requirement. Every cookie in the table above falls into that category.

Controlling cookies

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Be aware that blocking the essential ones above will break sign-in and checkout — the site will not work properly without them.

You can clear the theme preference at any time by clearing site data for nuxiv.app; the site will simply go back to its default dark theme.

Third parties

Stripe sets its own cookies during checkout to prevent fraud. Their use is described in the Stripe cookie policy. If you sign in with Google, Google sets cookies on its own domain during that flow, governed by Google’s privacy policy.
